Meet Our Expert Team

Dr. Johnston grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from South Meck High School and enlisted in the Navy. After completing his first tour, he attended Middle Tennessee State University, earning a B.S. in Aerospace and completing his prerequisites for Dental School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. Afterward, he returned to the Navy as a dentist stationed at Cherry Point, serving the Marine Corps. In 1998, he purchased Dr. Dan Wilson’s practice. In his spare time, Dr. Johnston enjoys spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, and surfing at the beach.

Cindy is from Dallas, NC, and has been a dental assistant since 2004. She has worked for Dr. Johnston since 2008. Cindy has been married since 1985 and has two children and two grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dawn is from Clover, SC, and has been a hygienist since 2004. She has been married since 2004 and enjoys watching her son play various sports. In her free time, Dawn enjoys napping and cheering on the Gamecocks.

Courteney is from Dallas, NC. She is the office manager and a DAII, having been with Dr. Johnston since 2014. She and her husband have been married since 2006 and have one son. They own The Country Kitchen in Dallas. Courteney loves to read and spend time with her family.

Taylor is from Dallas, NC. She has been with Dr. Johnston since 2015 as a DAII. Taylor has been married since 2021 and has two beautiful girls. In her free time, she enjoys the lake and spending time with family and friends.

Dawn is from Belmont, NC, and has worked at the front desk for Dr. Johnston since 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, dogs, reading, antiquing, and being outdoors.

Christy is from Belmont, NC, and has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Johnston since 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and watching her favorite teams, Duke and the Panthers.

Bonnie is from Gastonia, NC. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her two fur babies. She has an adult daughter who lives in Roanoke, VA, whom she visits often. Bonnie has been with Dr. Johnston since 2022.
